Overview

In May 2024, Frogmore Bottling Company (FBC) completed the Seaside Expansion, a facility-wide investment at its plant in Beaufort, South Carolina. The project expanded production lines, enlarged the facility footprint, upgraded utilities and added new packaging and cooling equipment. The result is significantly greater capacity and a wider range of formats for clients.

Bottling line expansion

FBC expanded its bottling operations to increase throughput and scheduling flexibility. More line capacity allows FBC to run larger orders, shorten lead times and support more clients at once without compromising quality.

Facility footprint expansion

The expansion added production and support space across the plant. The larger footprint improves workflow, separates operations more cleanly and creates room for new equipment and future growth.

Utility upgrades

Higher capacity requires dependable infrastructure. FBC upgraded the plant's utilities to support additional equipment and longer production runs, improving reliability and supporting consistent processing conditions.

Capacity increases

Together, the line, space and utility improvements raise FBC's overall production capacity. Clients benefit from greater availability, more flexible scheduling and the ability to scale volume as their business grows.

New packaging equipment

Cup machine. The new cup machine allows FBC to fill portion cups for dips, sauces and dressings, serving foodservice, grab-and-go and retail programs.

Large format bagger. The large format bagger supports bulk and foodservice packaging, including form-fill bags used by restaurants and foodservice distributors.

Advanced cooling tunnel technology

After hot fill, product must be cooled quickly and evenly. FBC's advanced cooling tunnels bring filled containers down to temperature efficiently, which helps protect flavor, color and texture while supporting product safety and line speed.

What this means for clients

  • More capacity and shorter lead times.
  • More formats, from bottles to portion cups to large format bags.
  • Consistent quality, supported by modern cooling and upgraded utilities.
  • Room to grow with a partner built to scale.
