A regional Bloody Mary mixer moves into multi-state distribution
A beloved local mixer with heavy horseradish particulate needed to hold its exact heat profile while run volume grew more than tenfold.
The challenge
The brand was producing in a shared kitchen at a few hundred bottles per week. Horseradish heat faded within weeks, particulate settled unevenly, and no two batches tasted quite the same — which made a liquor store chain unwilling to commit to shelf space.
What we did
A test kitchen session standardized and weighted the existing recipe rather than reformulating it. Hot fill with inversion and vacuum-seal verification locked in stability, and particulate handling was tuned to keep solids in suspension. Microbial stability was validated so the brand could publish a real shelf life on its spec sheet.
The outcome
The brand launched into multi-state liquor store distribution with a consistent product and documented specs. Reorders are now planned a quarter ahead, and heat profile complaints stopped entirely.
The recipe that made us local is the recipe that is on the shelf in four states. That was the whole point.
